Hunter Region Landcare Awards

The Scoop

NOMINATIONS CLOSED

This week the Hunter Region Landcare Network launched our Regional Landcare Awards, alongside Greater Sydney, Mid Coast, & other regions around NSW! We would like to invite you to nominate a member of your local community and attend our celebration awards night which is scheduled for May. These awards are in partnership with our collaborators Local Land Services and Landcare NSW. Our award process is aligned with the state and national Landcare Awards so that any local nominations can be forwarded on, this way, we hope to showcase the Hunter region!

This is your opportunity to acknowledge the significant contribution friends, family or colleagues may have made to natural resource management, sustainable agricultural practice or environmental awareness within our greater region.

These awards are open to all members of the community, regardless of engagement within Landcare networks.

General community members are encouraged to nominate someone they believe deserves recognition for their commitment to environmental stewardship.

Categories include Junior Landcare, Youth Leadership, Farming, Individual, Group and Indigenous.

A full list of these categories and their criteria can be found here, along with the nomination form.

Nominations will open February 1 until March 14, with judging being undertaken throughout April.

All successful nominators and nominees will be invited to share their work at the awards ceremony in May before the champions are announced.

Successful nominations will be assisted to refine their nominations, and supported throughout the Landcare NSW Awards nominations process for the 2022 state conference.

Anyone with questions is encouraged to get in touch with Regional Landcare Coordinator, Henrietta Mooney E: regionalhunterlandcare@gmail.com
