As part of the John Hunter Hospital’s NAIDOC events, on Wednesday 15th July Hunter Region Landcare Network partnered with Hunter New England Health staff and Greater Mutual Bank volunteers to care for Yallarwah Place. Enthusiastic teams cut and painted Tobacco trees and Lantana in the gully and removed Whiskey Grass adjoining tracks. Several caterpillars were noted as well as rich birdlife including whipbirds, cockatoos and fairy wrens. The volunteers also helped install two new habitat logs delivered by our Regional Landcare Coordinator, Jo O’Brien.
