Small businesses, including farm operations, can receive up to $1,000 towards the cost of workplace health and safety items. Small business owners and sole traders who have an ABN and employ between 0-50 (full-time equivalent) workers are eligible to apply. Charities and not-for-profits can also apply if they employ between 1-50 workers (full-time equivalent).

The addition of agricultural drones to the rebate aligns with SafeWork NSW’s 2025-2026 regulatory priorities, relating to harm prevention associated with mobile plant, vehicles or fixed machinery. This addition will support regional and small farm operations that will benefit from the use of drone technology as a practical and modern safety tool.
