Does your Landcare site have a creek or river nearby? If so, Hunter Local Land Services and the National Waterbug Blitz would like to encourage you to participate in a Waterbug Blitz!
Hunter Local Land Services has 2 waterbug survey equipment kits to give away, which provide everything you need to undertake your own Waterbug Blitz. Waterbugs are an indicator of water quality – the type and number of waterbugs found in a waterway can tell us a lot about how healthy that waterway is.
Undertaking a waterbug survey is simple, fun and suitable for any age. Head to www.waterbugblitz.org.au to find out more about taking part in a Waterbug Blitz, download The Waterbug App, and contribute to a nationwide waterway monitoring event!
