Hunter Region Planning for the next 4 years of the National Landcare Program

Newsletters, The Scoop

Our Coordinators from the Hunter Region Landcare Network are now scheduling visits to all Landcare groups and private landowner Landcare groups in the Hunter region to assess the needs and capture the ideas of each group/ area for the next 4 years of the National Landcare Program funding.

We are hoping to come along to your next group/ area meeting to discuss this with you. Please let us know when your next meeting is scheduled or when it is suitable for your group to meet all together.

This planning phase is important for your group/ area, as it will determine the focus of future funding to support you in your Landcare work over the next 4 years. The subsequent documentation that we put together with you, can be used as your site action plan, strategic plan, or for future grant funding applications.

Stacy, Paul, and Henrietta are keen to have your input during this planning phase with the National Landcare Program starting in January 2024.

Please email Henrietta to schedule a meeting at a time and place that suits your group/ area.

Please note:

  • If your Landcare site is on Council land in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie or Port Stephens, we will be working with Council and Landcare volunteers together to accomplish this planning phase in the coming months. More information will be available soon.
  • Your group needs to be a member of HRLN to access Coordinator support and future funding.
