Planet Ark’s National Tree Day team launched ‘The Seedling Bank’ in 2019 to give communities and schools the funds they need to put seedlings in the ground.
The program builds on the success of Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event, which has seen over 26 million trees planted since 1996.
NB: Planting events do not need to take place on National Tree Day (28 – 30 June), big and small events are supported all year round.

How to Apply:
1. Visit the National Tree Day website
2. Log in to the Coordinator Hub or create an account if you’re new to Tree Day
3. Register your event and fill in The Seedling Bank application form
Projects have included building bandicoot bunkers and wildlife corridors, revegetation of habitats to encourage native wildlife, planting to protect cultural heritage sites and transformation of rubbish tips to provide habitat for endemic plant and animal species including the endangered Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo! Preference will be given to projects with the greatest environmental impact and community focus.
