Wildlife and Habitat Bushfire Recovery Program Grant Opportunity

Grants

Up to $12 million dollars is now available via an open, competitive grants program, for activities to prevent extinction and support the recovery of bushfire-affected wildlife and their habitats.

Since the fires, there have been many offers of help and proposals for ways that communities, governments and non-government organisations can work together on recovery.

Grants from $100,000 to $1 million are available to individuals and organisations for projects that can commence as soon as is practical and finish on or before 30 June 2021.

COVID-19 may mean we have to change the way we do our work, but it hasn’t taken away the challenge we face in bushfire recovery.

The funds will be made available in at least two tranches. Tranche one grant applications close on 22 April, and Tranche two grant applications will close in late May.

Information on eligibility criteria and how to apply is available via GrantConnect along with grant guidelines.
