New Australians learn from Nature Advocates

New Australians learn from Nature Advocates

The Scoop

Language, soil and gardening knowledge came together in Singleton on Saturday 29th June.  Singleton Soil Sister Ernie Harbott and Singleton Community Gardens President Paige Gough came to Singleton Library to chat with SELFNA Inc. (Singleton English Lessons for New Australians) and Singleton Multicultural group.

Multicultural Australians newly arrived from around the globe were inspired and in awe of the two women who spoke passionately about the importance of environment and community, and how Singleton Soil Sisters and Singleton Community Gardens work together to help educate, feed and connect people in the local area.
