Mindaribba Local Aboriginal Land Council and Cessnock Council have collaborated and currently have a My Community Project under consideration for funding. The proposed project will fund the 2020 Bioblitz and also a dedicated Bird Trail in the Cessnock area. (The Trail would be similar to the Capertee Valley, refer to link http://archive.lithgow.nsw.gov.au/tourism/caperteebirds.pdf )
To ensure the project goes ahead we need residents in the state electorate of Cessnock to vote for the project which is called ‘Our Bushland Cessnock – a Biodiversity Hotspot’ (MCP19-01850). Voting can be done online at mycommunityproject.service.nsw.gov.auor at a local Service NSW Centre.
