Shorebird Info Session & Spotting

Hi there,

Gabrielle here from Hunter Region Landcare Network, Project Officer for our Shorebird Community Engagement Program.

You’re invited to our Port Stephens Shorebird Info Session & Spotting on Sunday, February 19th 2023.

This collaborative event with the University of Newcastle, aims to engage community members, Coast/Landcare volunteers and interested individuals to increase shorebird conservation, awareness and insight positive behavioural changes in coast-goers.

We will host a morning of informative presentations, followed by lunch (provided) and a bird-spotting session at Soldier’s Point.

Learn about shorebird migration, ecology, current research programs, how to identify and help to conserve these astonishing long-distance travellers.

Registration is necessary due to limited numbers & catering.
