Grant Writing Workshop for Mid-Hunter Landcare groups

This FREE workshop will help you develop your project and prepare your application to successfully secure funding for your next Landcare project or concept.

Guest presenter, Marguerite White, has extensive professional experience with natural resource management including environmental and sustainable agriculture grant writing across stakeholder groups-  from individual landcare groups to large commercial companies and research agencies. Her approach is to share experiences in:

  • Turning an idea into an innovative project- stand out from the crowd.

  • Understanding what your project is really going to achieve- issues, impacts and
    mitigation strategies.

  • Interpreting what the investor is really looking for- how can you make your project the right ‘fit’?

  • The latest terminology and buzz words to use- how can you write your project
objectives and activities in a way which will be clearly understood?

  • Finding the balance between ‘selling your soul’ (over-committing) and underwhelming  (expecting $ for very little)- what is the sweet spot for your project that demonstrates a good return on investment for the funder?

  • Practical realities- what are the activities you will be undertaking? Are these realistic within the constraints of timeframes, budgets and identified risk? What are the true budget requirements?

Grant programs such as the upcoming Environmental Trust Restoration and Rehabilitation grants (expected to open in November) will be discussed.

Get your project grant ready and eliminate the last minute rush.
