Applications for the City of Newcastle 2026 Environment Grant program open on Monday, 4 May and close on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
Grants of $2,000 – $10,000 (ex GST) are available.
Outreach programs such as bioblitz or citizen science activities, installing pollinator habitat, such as street gardens, greening walls, revegetation, bush regeneration, tiny forests, supplementary wildlife habitat native bee hives.

Community Information Sessions are available. To support applicants, a mix of online and in‑person community information sessions will provide an overview of the 2026 Grants and Sponsorship Programs, explain the application process, and answer questions. Registration is free and required to attend.
