Sunday, 22 July 2018 9:30am to 12:00pm
Trees In Newcastle is a dynamic not-for-profit community organisation focused on the rehabilitation and regeneration of the natural environment and urban community education. We support volunteer Landcare projects with professional bush regeneration services and work with public and private landholders and community groups.
We relocated to a site within the Belmont Wetlands State Park in June 2017. With a site of more than 549 hectares to manage, the Belmont Wetlands State Park Trust have agreed to TIN’s stewardship of a site along the Kalaroo Drive Fire Trail. This site is known as the Kalaroo Gate Rehabilitation Project.
National Tree Day 2018 marks our first anniversary in partnership with Belmont Wetlands State Park Trust.
Trees In Newcastle invite our neighbours, community members, existing and past volunteers to join us in this planting. We will be installing 2500 local native plants contributing to native biodiversity in the Park and enhancing the habitat of native birds and wildlife that call the area home.
