Hunter Water is planning a community planting day along the banks of Crawchie Creek in Shortland. The site is on the Shortland WWTW site and is adjacent to the successful Landcare site along Crawchie Creek. Works at the site have been supported by a NSW Environment Trust grant, with the grant in its final year. The planting days will support the planting of additional native species along the creek line.
Please bring a water bottle, wear long sleeves and pants, enclosed shoes and a hat. Drinking water, a BBQ, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided on the day. Parking is available on Bardia Rd and surrounding streets.
