Great Glossy Count

Calling citizen scientists in eastern Australia: support the conservation of Glossy Black-Cockatoos! Register to join us in the Great Glossy Count on 9 & 10 September.

The Great Glossy Count is a citizen science event led by BirdLife Australia, which collects data across the entire distribution of the Vulnerable South-eastern Glossy Black-Cockatoo

(south-eastern Qld, eastern NSW, the ACT & eastern Vic). 

You can join us in the Great Glossy Count if you: 

• Are within South-eastern Glossy distribution during the Count weekend. 
• Can safely collect data at your selected survey site(s) for one hour (or more) on one or both days. 
• Register to our Birdata bird survey tool. 
• Watch our pre-recorded training video, join a regional workshop, or read our resources and complete a short and informative quiz!
