Join NPWS and help protect the delicate alpine ecology of Barrington Tops National Park.
The environmental weed, Scotch Broom (Cystis scoparius), is widely distributed throughout sub-alpine communities, and is impacting on the structure, floristics and ecology of the area.
These works are helping to protect Endangered Ecology Communities and Threatened Species Habitat in the Barrington Tops Region.
Works will be based around Little Murray, with the objective being to create habitat for a large number of rare and threatened species via the removal of Scotch Broom, in refuge areas adjoining the impacted section of the World Heritage Area.Little
Activities will start and finish from Little Murray, where free camping is provided.
