Join the Hunter Region Landcare Network and National Parks (NPWS) in a series of Shorebird Habitat Restoration + Education Events in the Hunter Wetlands National Park.
The Hunter Estuary is an internationally recognised and protected wetland under the Ramsar Convention (1984).
Do your part for conservation – locally and globally – of this significant piece of habitat, that supports a range of threatened species and endangered ecological communities.
These events involve the removal of Mangroves and other flora, to preserve Salt Marsh Vegetation and suitable Shorebird Habitat, followed by an education session and lunch (provided).
