Did you know that the most important habitat for the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater is here in the lower Hunter Valley?

Last month the local wild population was boosted with the release of 50 zoo-bred birds in the Tomalpin Woodlands, south of Kurri Kurri. Follow the links below for the latest Community Update from Birdlife Australia and news article (with video) from The Newcastle Herald.

Please note that the released birds are currently located on private properties. They are not accessible to the public (this includes the wild birds mentioned in the community update).
