Leslie Pearson has provided wise, calm and positive guidance for the governance of HRLN and contributed to a broad variety of projects and initiatives undertaken by the network over the past thirteen years.
Les joined the network in 2011 when he was completing a property plan for St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock. From 2012 he coordinated the River Red Gum Project, raising the profile of this iconic species throughout the Hunter. Les was Deputy Chair of HRLN in 2016 and Chair from 2018 to 2020. During this time he served with Landcare NSW and the National Landcare Network.
Les has applied his thoroughness, attention to detail and heartfelt dedication to his volunteering with HRLN. He has left a wonderful legacy, inspiring the next landcare torch-bearers and helping to strengthen the Network’s position for the benefits of all landcarers and groups.
Thank you Les and all the best for your happiness and health into the future.
