Role Title: Hunter Regional Landcare Coordinator
Employer: Hunter Region Landcare Network (HRLN)
Location: Negotiable in the Hunter region, NSW
Role Classification: Temporary Part Time to 30 June 2023 and subject to funding availability and performance
Remuneration: $46 per hour plus employer’s contribution to superannuationHours per week: 0.3 FTE at 10.5 hours per week
The position will report to the Chair of HRLN
HRLN is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who can enhance and expand regional landcare engagement with the community, landcare organisations, government and industry as part of a state-wide program. Planning, collaboration and coordination with key stakeholders and partners will enable larger scale opportunities.
The Regional Landcare Coordinator will work with the HRLN committee and liaise with the HRLN par- time Landcare Coordinators, Landcare NSW, Hunter Local Land Services, the nine Councils of the Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie as well as other relevant organisations. The position is a component of the NSW Landcare Program 2019-2023.
Expectations
- Build on the relationship with Hunter Local Land Services through MOU assessments
- Build productive relations with Hunter Councils based on MOUs and agreed outputs
- Strengthen the work of Coordinators through liaison and support structures
- Link Landcare to business and community groups through joint activities
Key Requirements
- Be an enthusiastic self-starter
- Ability to work with volunteers, other professionals and government
- Project management qualifications and/or experience
- Demonstrated written, oral computer / internet-based office and web-based communication skills
- Ability to build partnerships with a range of government and non-government organisations
- Drivers licence and own vehicle
