Details below

Wildlife Talk Guest Speaker: Judy Hopper

Date: 25th August 2018

Time: 10.00 am

Venue: Wollombi Public School

Light refreshments will be provided.

We have invited Judy Hopper, from Native Animal Trust Fund, to talk about native animal rescue and rehabilitation. We also hope to inform the group procedures to follow when trying to manage a large injured animal.

She has been a carer for many years and dedicates all aspects of her life to helping our native fauna by giving them a second, sometimes, third chance. Her knowledge covers most native animals found in the Hunter Region, with her speciality being the micro and macrobats.

Judy is a very active wildlife carer and ceaselessly cares for and raises orphaned joeys. Please be aware we need to keep the venue quiet for her charges as they will no doubt need tending to during the day. No dogs allowed due to the presence of these native animals. They are easily stressed and may feel threatened by the smell of domestic animals.

Please come along and take part in this very interesting talk by one of the most experienced wildlife carers in the region.
