Ausgrid Grassroots Grants – Up to $5,000
These grants are in support of causes and organisations Ausgrid area communities care about.
Who can apply?
Charities, volunteer groups, local sports teams and organisations in the Ausgrid network area can apply for support with initiatives that strengthen community connection, promote safety and wellbeing, or improve equity and accessibility.
Criteria for applicants:
- Your organisation must be registered and operating within the Ausgrid network area (Eastern Sydney, CBD, Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Coffs Harbour)
- Organisations should be not-for-profit or community organisations.
- Your project must be delivered within the Ausgrid network area
- Your project must align with one or more of our four grant themes
- Funds must be used within the 2026 calendar year
- Applications must not be related to partisan political campaigns
- Organisations or activities must not involve potentially hazardous activities
- Organisations must be lawful and not operate for commercial gain
